After introducing the Borgata Casino app in Pennsylvania via a market access arrangement with Rush Street Gaming's Rivers Casino Philadelphia, the gaming entertainment firm BetMGM currently operates two online casinos in the state of Pennsylvania. BetMGM specialises in sports betting and other forms of online gaming.

The partnership, which was announced on Thursday, comes after BetMGM Casino opened its doors in the Keystone State back in December.

Milestone move:

Adam Greenblatt, the Chief Executive Officer of BetMGM, stated that the launch in Pennsylvania is an important milestone for the company because it marks the first state outside of New Jersey where the Borgata Casino brand is live. He made this statement while commenting on the respect that the Borgata brand commands and the success of the digital casino app in New Jersey.

"We're confident that players in Pennsylvania will enjoy the digital betting experience of Atlantic City's premier casino," stated the CEO of MGM Resorts International in a news release issued by MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM).

BetMGM is the exclusive sports betting branch of MGM Resorts, which operates in both online and land-based casinos across the United States. BetMGM is the result of a collaboration between the Las Vegas-based entertainment corporation and the British sports betting and gaming company Entain Plc (LSE: ENT), which was originally known as GVC Holdings. BetMGM is available in all casinos across the United States.

In addition to more than 150 slot machines, the Borgata Casino app also includes table games including MGM Grand Millions and Premium Blackjack Pro. The app's progressive jackpot, which is linked to the slot machine offers and is available to players in the Commonwealth, begins at $300,000.

Rewards benefit:

Additionally, the integration of BetMGM with the M life Rewards programme of MGM Resorts enables customers of Borgata Casino in the state of Pennsylvania to redeem their gameplay for accommodations at MGM properties throughout the United States. These properties include MGM National Harbour in Maryland, Borgata in New Jersey, and Bellagio and MGM Grand in Las Vegas. 

Downloads of the Borgata Casino app are available for mobile devices running iOS and Android, in addition to desktop computers.

BetMGM had just made an announcement on its new agreement with Topgolf, a sports entertainment firm located in Dallas. As part of the integrated sports betting and entertainment relationship, the two firms will work together to create joint offers for marketing and promotional activities at certain Topgolf facilities and within WGT (World Golf Tour) by Topgolf. The Topgolf Entertainment Group welcomed the online multiplayer virtual golf game into its fold in 2016, making it a member of the Topgolf family.

Operations resume:

In related news, MGM resorts declared on February 17 that it will resume full-week, 24-hour hotel operations at The Mirage, Park MGM, and Mandalay Bay beginning on March 3. After each of the three properties had imposed "selective mid-week closures" in response to lower business volumes caused by the ongoing health problem, the increasing interest from the general public in travelling to Las Vegas was reportedly a trigger for the shift that resulted in the new policy. This is stated in a press statement issued by the firm.

A number of the firm's live entertainment acts are scheduled to make their comeback to the stage later this month and at the beginning of March, as the company just disclosed.
