Phil Ivey triumphs in the Super High Roller Series Europe points race
Phil Ivey was declared the series points race champion when the Super High Roller Series Europe came to an end. The poker pro was able to cash out at a number of occasions and win a few titles to accumulate enough points to command a commanding lead and win the competition. Ivey earned almost $2.8 million in total, taking home two tournament victories in addition to winning five cash-out events.
Information about the Leaderboard Win
At the Merit Crystal Cove Resort & Casino, players had a choice of six tournaments as part of the Super High Roller Series Europe, which was co-hosted by Triton Poker and SHRS. When the series was almost over, it was discovered that Phil Ivey could not be overtaken statistically in terms of leaderboard points by any other player.
With his $2.8 million in cashouts plus 1,725 points, Ivey finished first. With six cash outs, $2,188,000 in prize money, and 1,155 points, Daniel Dvoress came in second place. Jason Koon, who got 1,139 points and $1.8 million, took third place.
The poker professional was successful in winning both Event #4, a $50,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event, and Event #3, a $75,000 Short Deck tournament. In Event #2, the $50,000 Short Deck competition, he came close to winning a third championship but lost to Mikita Badziakouski in second place.
Ivey now has an additional $25,000 in cash and bragging rights after winning the leaderboard!
Tour Points for PokerGO
The 2022 Super High Roller Series Europe competitions are PokerGO Tour stop events. The Triton Cyprus preliminary tournaments are also included in the ranking calculations. In order to compete in the PokerGO leaderboard challenge, players that participated in the events received points based on cashouts.
The top 21 players will be allowed to compete in the 2022 PokerGO Tour Championship before the completion of the 2022 PokerGO Tour season. The event's winner will get a $500,000 reward. Ali Imsirovic is the current leader on the PokerGO leaderboard. While Phil Ivey is in second place with 1725 points, he has 1839.
Isaac Kempton and Jake Schindler are somewhat further back. Kempton has 1375 points, while Schindler has 1472. It's uncertain if Ivey will be able to keep up his point total, potentially overtake Imsirovic as the leader in points, and play a full poker schedule. Ivey has a solid chance of becoming the guy to beat on the PokerGO Tour points board if he keeps playing in tournaments.
